Kissy made the longhaul flight to Colarado, USA to live with Laurie Stargell of SkyHi Basenjis.  


Baby Kissy the day she departed for Colorado

Baby Kissy was a lovely easy going girl with a laidback temperament.  She did lots of lovely baroos like her brother and sister and loved to watch what was going on around her.  Baby Kissy had good conformation to the breed standard and had a very attractive head showing nice eye shape, good wrinkle and dark pigmentation.  She had good bone structure and angulation with balance and movement to match.  Kissy went to join the SkyHi basenji show team including BISS Am Ch SkyHi's Daredevil.  Below you can see Kissy went on to get her American Championship Title. 

Show Career


Kissy age 10 months earning her first points

Kissy has begun her American show career and is doing really well from the Puppy Class.  It was wonderful to hear that Kissy really enjoys the ring and is a NATURAL SHOW DOG!!

  24 June 2005 - in Montana Kissy went Reserve Winners Bitch to a 5 point Major from the Puppy Class - that's over 19 other bitches from the Classes!! Judge Mr R J Moore

September 2005 in Arizona - Kissy has two more back to back Major reserves under judges Mr Joseph Gregory and Mrs Judy Webb.
Then.....
1st Place - Junior Sweepstakes Class at the NATIONALS under well known breeder/judge Pat Cembura of Arubmec Basenjis.  Kissy also placed in the Regular 12-18 month Class under the All Breed judge.  Laurie says Kissy just keeps getting better and better as she matures so those Majors might be just around the corner!

The following weekend Kissy gets two more back to back Majors to finish her title with 4 Majors!!
