Blade flew over to NSW with us in October 2004 to attend the Basenji Specialty and hopefully do well for his breeder Kylie Delacourt. The judge liked him and he was awarded 3rd Place in State Bred Dog Class. Judge Mr S Parsons wrote in his critique 'by Dazzler ex the winner of the next class, stylish boy of excellent type with that lovely 'gazelle' look, full of quality, good well wrinkled head, uses his ears. Not quite the front angulation & didn't retain his topline on the move as well as 1 or 2.' Blade's sire Gr Ch Wazazi Perfect Dazzler was awarded 'Sire of the Day' for the 6th year running!!

Blade came to us as an 8 week old baby from breeder Kylie Delacourt of New South Wales. He was a gorgeous plump, soft cuddly teddy bear as a baby. Nowadays Blade is all muscle with great body tone and elegant shape. He's an attractive boy with a fine, silky soft, rich red coat and clear whites. Blade has a deep shelf, tight tail curl, powerful hindquarters and good bone substance. Movement is clean coming and going, side gait effortless. He has good shoulders and neck, a strong head with diamond wrinkle.

Blade has a soft, gentle and affectionate nature. He likes lots of eye contact, praise and cuddles and can be a real sook. We have great talky sessions with Blade when he yodels and howls to convey his excitement and pleasure at seeing us. He is a very friendly dog especially to visitors. When Blade sleeps he totally relaxes himself belly up with legs stretched full out.

under a panel of three judges with a total score of 26.5 points out of 30.
Proceeded to the Finals to win 3rd place overall out of an entry of 140 puppies. Out of the Final panel of three judges two of those judges awarded 19 points out of 20 and 18 points out of 20.
