Chloe as a puppy

Chloe is a little princess, she is from breeder Kylie Delacourt of New South Wales.

Chloe seemed quite demanding as a puppy compared to Khyber our first basenji.  She had a lovely sweet nature but her strong hunting instincts sometimes get her into trouble.  There was the time as a 10 week old baby I found her in the chook pen on a chooks back which was twice the size of her, plucking away.  My poor chicken had a completely bald back for weeks!  Then there was the time I found her at the side of the house pinning down a wild baby rabbit with her front legs.  She was very proud of herself and happily let mum take over.  I took it to an enclosure to check it was okay and not hurt and apart from being extremely frightened it hopped around and was released.  Chloe loves nothing more than to hunt and to see her in the double suspension gallop flat out is spectacular.  She can move.

It took a few years but as Chloe has matured she has really mellowed and is a great companion girl.  She's ultra smart and knows everything you say to her.  She's always had a very playful nature and does heaps of yodels.

Chloe proved to be a great first time mother and was happy for us all to share the experience.  When her baby was old enough it was the most wonderful sight to see them playing together, the gentleness of watching a mother play with her daughter cannot be put into words.

Chloe as a mummy

Chloe is half way to her Australian Championship title but hasn't been shown for sometime.  She has a lovely rich coat which is short and fine.  She has a short back and is very leggy giving a high on the leg appearance.  She has a good dark eye with the required inscrutable expression.  A very elegant bitch who has bodied up as she's matured.
