Kylie showing Tara at the 2004 Basenji Specialty winning Best Tri Coat & Best Coat All Colours under judge Mrs B Skilton (NSW)

Tara was 2nd in the Limit Bitch Class at the 2004 Basenji Specialty.  Critique by judge Mr S Parsons reads 'lovely tri who put up strong competition both in this class & the challenge, perhaps even taller in proportion than 1, quality all the way, just lost out on front movement.'

Best Baby Puppy in Show
2003 Basenji Club of NSW Championship Show. Critique by judge Sandra L Bridges (USA)
KANIBARU DEBONAIR STAR, and what a star she is!  This gorgeous tri caught my eye on the first go around.  She carries herself with such an aristocratic air, her easy balanced stride floating around the ring.  On the move, she kept her leggy, short-bodied outline, her topline solid and level, her head held high.  Stunning on the stack - leggy, short bodied, short backed, level topline and an equally pleasing underline with a good depth of chest and proper length of upper arm, well set tail, marvelous feet, lovely crested neck.  Marvelous head with little hooded ears set well forward, dark almond eyes, short muzzle, black nose, super wrinkle, even side wrinkle.  Her short black coat was trimmed in a pretty red and just gleamed.  I would love to take this one home with me!!!

Our gorgeous little tri girl was special from the start as she has the most endearing personality.  Lots of eye contact, intelligent, very confident and self assured.  She won our hearts and we hope she wins the hearts of all that meet her.  This smashing little girl has not only the charisma but the striking good looks to be a real show star so she went to live with Kylie Delacourt in NSW where she spent her first year.  Tara is now back in WA and about to become a mum.  Tara is half way to her Championship title.

Health Information: She has no Inguinal or Umbilical Hernia's.  Her eyes tested clear of coloboma, no PRA, and no PPM.

9 weeks 4 days

As a baby Tara has a lot of quality with a short, fine,  silky soft, tri coat with clear demarcation and clear whites.  A beautiful head piece with lots of fine wrinkles, small well set ears, dark almond shaped eyes, black eye and nose pigment with excellent expression and head proportions.  A well set long neck and beautiful clean front with fine bone, strong pasterns and well arched toes.  She is short in back and loin and very leggy giving the correct high on the leg appearance.  She has good angulation producing a shelf and good tail set.
